Picnic on White Rock Lake at the Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Gardens
Cafe in Palais Royal, Paris
Chicago
The scene at left is a Holiday light display at the complex I lived in while in the Dallas area. Suspended inside the brick archway are tiny white string lights along with six large metal orbs covered in lights (see inset below).
What makes the picture is the fountain in the foreground, specifically the reflection of the illuminated orbs in the water as well as the top of the arch with the dangling white string lights.
Clockwise from top left: The Thai Sala Pavilion / Golden Sanctuary at Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison, Wisconsin. A large group of bicycles on the campus of a large Indian technology company, Infosys, at one of their many campus locations - this one in Pune, India. Clearly the bicycle is a very common form of transportation. I don’t recall seeing any parking lots for cars, just bicycles and motorcycles. The Morris Island Lighthouse, located just off the northeastern tip of Folly Beach, South Carolina, was built in 1876 to replace an older 1801 brick tower destroyed by Confederate forces in December 1861 during the Civil War to prevent its use by Union warships.
