This picture was taken a stones throw from the Lake Michigan shore at a spot along the Kalamazoo River in Saugatuck, Michigan, a vibrant arts colony and popular resort town on the "Art Coast of Michigan." The area is renowned for its sweeping sand dunes, freshwater beaches, and eclectic downtown. The pristine beaches of Lake Michigan are only minutes away. This picture was taller pm a gorgeous autumn day. A wooden patio with steps down to the river. Clouds suspended in the sky like balloons. Boats moored on the Kalamazoo River at some private residences. Just looking at this picture makes me feel the crisp autumn air of that day.
If I titled my pictures this would be either “Purple Haze” or “Magenta Moon.” I really like the hue around the full moon as it rises over the ocean. It barely illuminates the clouds and ocean. For ages and ages of time the moon and the sea have relentlessly worked together to produce, without fail, every 24 hours, two high tides and two low tides in all the costal areas around the world. Another instance of the magic of nature - its power and its beauty. This photo was taken on the beach at Sullivan’s Island, South Carolina.
A picture from an early morning “sunrise walk” during a family vacation of 14 people from ages 4 to 86 - three generations. Needless to say, not everyone was on a 6:30am walk. In fact, this walk was just the two original founding members of the “Early Morning Sunrise Walk” club started several years ago. The two OG’s were myself and Fielding (aka Fee, FeeNom or FeeRex).
