GUEST PHOTOS
This special Gallery contains photos that are among my favorites, but they were taken by others. I think they are such extraordinary pictures I wanted to share them on this website . . . .
The four photos below were taking by a dear friend of mine from Dallas, John Pitre. We had the pleasure of working together as part of a very special team of folks.
Pictured in this tranquil scene in Nova Scotia, Canada, is Hall’s Harbor Lobster Pound & Restaurant, which sits on the Bay of Funny. It is a very well known and popular place to enjoy fresh lobster right off the boat. I was lucky enough to dine there a few years before John, but I didn’t leave with a great photograph like he did. The sun is setting, the water is as smooth as glass and reflects the restaurant and clouds like a mirror. Taken at dusk, the photo shows the restaurant clearly but is dark enough to still show the illuminated dining areas inside. It’s just a perfect picture.
Another Canadian scene, also taken at dusk with a waning sunset turning the clouds the color of the sun, and also a setting on the water. The photo is taken on the banks of the St. Lawrence River looking towards the historic Old Quebec City. Prominent in the scene is the famous old grand hotel Le Château Frontenac.
John took this picture while driving down an Arizona highway somewhere near Casa Grande. He stopped to capture this photo of a gorgeous sunset and this unique desert-like landscape.
John took this picture in the Pacific Northwest in an area on the Washington and Oregon border. This is an absolutely beautiful scene - no elaboration or explanation needed.
